Live to the rhythm of the village
ake a seat on the terrace of the Café des Sports for lunch or just a drink 🍻😀 ! You’ll feel the pulse of the village and have a view of the Eglise Saint-Grégoire as well as the Place de la Libération and its petanque players .
An all-day treat
There are plenty of places to treat your taste buds in Tourrettes sur Loup, and we haven’t had the chance to try them all yet! Here’s a selection of good addresses that won’t disappoint:
–Chez Ma’mie Bakery. I think everything I tasted there was good: the bread, the viennoiseries 🥐, the sandwiches, the cakes and pastries…Go for it! Note that you can sit on the tables and sofas set up in front of the entrance to enjoy your breakfasts, lunches or snacks.
–Tom’s Glacier. Enjoy a delicious artisanal ice cream🍦 as you stroll through the historic city. Taste the floral fragrances: jasmine, rose and, of course, violet!
-Il Ponte Vecchio restaurant. Ideally located if – like us – you live in Tourrettes on the Vence side. We dined there this summer and tasted delicious Italian dishes 🍝. The elevated terrace offers a beautiful view of the hilltop town.
–La Cave de Tourrettes. A wine bar where you can of course have a drink 🍷 or lunch / dinner on the premises (reservation recommended). The menu is homemade and renewed daily 😉 ! The little extra: the balcony-terrace offering a lovely pamorama over the sea and surrounding heights.
-Confiserie Florian des Gorges du Loup. The famous Maison Florian has been in business in Nice for over 100 years! Today, you can visit the production plant in Pont du Loup and, above all, buy the delicacies 🍭 prepared there. Chocolates, candied fruits, jams, candies, crystallized flowers and, more recently, cookies…you’re spoilt for choice!
Shopping
The village of Tourrettes sur Loup, and in particular the medieval town, is brimming with friendly little boutiques and master craftsmen. Here are my favorites ❤️.
–Les Petites Bastiaises 🛍. A little store that you privatize just for you for a few hours. I can’t encourage you enough to take part in this unique shopping experience with founder Anne Sophie. You won’t leave empty-handed, as her boudoir is brimming with little treasures at very affordable prices!
–La Poterie Tournesol 🌻. A Tourrettes institution! Virtually every household in the town has ordered its nameplate and/or house number. Now it’s your turn!
–La Serpentine. A lovely jewelry designer: I like to drop in in spring to pick up new bracelets for the summer season ☀️.
Breathtaking views
–Les Gorges du Loup. Head for Pont du Loup and enter the Canyon 🏞…it’s a spectacular sight! Take a trip to the Cascades du Saut du Loup just a few kilometers away. And if you love adventure and nature, I recommend taking part in a canyoning session in the Gorges !
–Le Ranch des Baous. If you head up the Route du Caire, you’ll discover this delightful equestrian center in the heights of Tourrettes. Horseback rides 🐴 with breathtaking views. We also tried out a pony ride with Nino, which was just great!
